What do I do if I have installation problems?
The most common installation issue so far has been related to installing one version
over another. On some systems, the older version has not uninstalled correctly.
I am working at finding the cause of this problem and fixing it.
The work around is to manually uninstall any previous versions of Serial Key Maker
using the Windows Control panel "Add/Remove" programs. Also remove any "Serial Key
Maker" folders and files that may be around of the manual uninstall.
If you still have trouble installing after removing all previous versions, then
please email me at support@serialkeymaker.com
with the details of your problem.
I have installed the Demo, how do I get the full version?
You can select the "Purchase" option from the Tools menu within the application
(which will navigate to the website) to purchase a license, or you could go to the
website directly.
[Buy Serial Key Maker Now]
You do not have to download a different version of the software. Entering the purchased
serial key unlocks the software for full unlimited usage.
Do I need to re-install to upgrade from demo?
No, the purchased key unlocks the full un-restricted version of the software.
Does Serial Key Maker require internet access for activation?
No. All you need to unlock Serial Key Maker is to enter a Full Version license into
the area provided for registration. The key is stored and validated locally.
The same applies for the software you will deploy. Your users will not have to have
internet access to the serial key validation. You will check the entered key from
within your application based on a local store of the encrypted key.
What licensing options do you support/have?
You get 30 days free email support with the purchase of Serial Key Maker. After
the 30 days you can purchase a support plan per license.
The support includes free access to all patches and minor upgrades while the support
plan is active. This means that if bug fix patches are released, or a small feature
is implemented, you can download and install that version at no extra cost.
Licensing is per developer. This means that if a person debugs and/or compiles
an application that references Serial Key Maker, that is one license. If another
developer works (debugs and/or compiles) the same application, that is another license
that is required.
Serial Key Maker can be installed on as many machines as you wish.
What are the system requirements?
For the Serial Key Maker user interface:
- Visual Studio 2005 or 2008
- .Net Framework 2.0
- Windows 2003, Windows XP, Windows Vista
There are no special requirements for the Serial Key Maker API (referenced from
within your project). If your application works on your user's machines, the API
will.
